The Evolis Primacy 2 is a high-performance professional card printer designed to produce high-quality plastic cards and ID badges with excellent speed, flexibility, and security. The printer supports edge-to-edge printing and can be configured for single-sided or dual-sided printing depending on the model. It uses Dye-Sublimation technology for full-color printing and Resin Thermal Transfer technology for monochrome printing, helping produce clear, professional cards suitable for business and institutional use.

The Primacy 2 offers fast printing performance of up to 280 full-color cards per hour in single-sided mode and up to 170 dual-sided color cards per hour depending on the configuration. It also includes a 100-card feeder, with an optional 200-card feeder for higher productivity environments.

The printer delivers excellent print quality with 300 × 300 dpi standard resolution, with higher resolution options such as 300 × 600 dpi for color and monochrome printing, and 300 × 1200 dpi for monochrome printing depending on the print settings. Color profile optimization also helps achieve more accurate and professional print results.

Primacy 2 supports multiple security and encoding options depending on the model, including magnetic stripe encoding, contact and contactless smart card encoding, UV effect printing, double overlay protection, scanner options, and Kineclipse technology for enhanced printed data protection.

For ease of use, the printer comes with an LED panel or LCD touchscreen depending on the version, along with Evolis Premium Suite software compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. Mobile and tablet printing may also be supported depending on the configuration and compatibility.
